For optimum effect the bristle tips should be positioned so that they just barely touch the discharged surface. A gap of 1.5 to 2 mm is best. A conducting cable with a diameter of at least 2.5 mm² passes the charge directly to earth. Connection to an earthed machine frame is insufficient.

What is possible?
Film thicknesses from 8 μ, web widths of up to 6 m as well as very high running speeds, thanks to dynamic balancing, are no problem for Mink spreading technology. In addition, Mink spreader rolls® are available with a unique double angling of the bristles for multi-slitting, with electrically conductive bristle material, and also for high temperatures of up to 160 °C. The BSW multi-slitting roller offers three advantages: reliable spreading, dependable creation of multiple slits and safe removal of static build-up – all in a single operation.
