SUREFAS B.V. is the Dutch company behind products like PERFIX®, Q-SNAP®, CAF-316®and CAF-COMPO®. Since 2003 the SUREFAS team is dedicated to improve fastening systems for industrial textiles.
Born out of pure frustration over current systems to fasten covers and spray hoods on boats, the applications of today are numerous. A strong team of technical inventors, high quality production facilities and an excellent feeling for customer needs is determined to bring real solutions to this market worldwide.

Matching any snap
The stud is the lower part of a snap or ring-spring press fastener system. CAF-COMPO screw-stud will fit any regular ring spring socket, no matter the supplier (meeting Mil Spec 10884 (MS27980 Style 2). Even the plastic sockets fit. It comes in a few white variants, light grey and black, or any colour you like to be made custom. A version with a metric thread makes it possible to solve the corrosion issue on any aluminum surface, like window-frames, since it is not suitable for self-tapping in aluminum or steel.

The CAF-compo screw-stud is a one-piece part made of a uv-stabilized glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic and is positively tested to hold 500N shear force. Even a strong blow of a hammer on the back will not have the stud to pop out of the surface.
Tested to the limits
Until now, it was considered not possible to have a composite screw tap its way into a hard surface like polyester.Tests confirm a same or better performance, hold and installation as regular screw-studs.

Meeting all requirements for UV, installation, hold and fitting any of the specified existing fasteners. A unique formula of smart design and high-quality materials make it possible to have a composite self-tapping screw stud for use in fiber glass, wood and other composites. While it entails the exact same and quick installation as a normal screw stud. Enabling marine fabricators and boat builders to have their products really stand o‑ from the crowd.
A MATCH FOR ANY FASTENER
The stud is the lower part of any fastener system. CAF-COMPO® screw-studs are now designed to be compatible with Loxx® or Tenax®, Minax and Li -the-DOT®, One-Way-Li ® or Superspot-type products. All versions come in 3 thread-type and in 4 standard colours: white, cream, light grey and black, or any colour you like. A metric thread -version makes it possible to solve the corrosion issue on any aluminum surface, like window-frames. Some applications will surely benefit from the weight reduction (over 50%) and its non-reflective property.

TESTED TO THE LIMITS
Until now, it was considered not possible to have a composite screw tapping its way into a hard surface like polyester. Tests confirm a same or better performance, hold and installation as regular screw-studs. The CAF-COMPO screw-stud is a one-piece part made of a uv-stabilized glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic. It is UV-stabilized resulting in a similar decolorization as gel-coated fibre glass. The studs are positively tested to hold over 500N shear force and a permanent load of 100N. The thread has a better hold in comparison with the standard metal screw-studs on the market.

Q-SNAP is a press fastener, secured from the angle of the tensile force. It won’t pop loose, no matter what angle between fixed surface and cloth.

Anybody can fix a tight cover or cloth: the integrated lever to help you stretch the cloth.

Q-SNAP is installed just like a normal press fastener. Special tools make it up to 3 times faster than other secured fasteners. And there are no extra parts thanks to smart pre-assembling.

Q-SNAP is available in 316 stainless steel, making it even seawater resistant. A thin layer of silicone isolates the Q-stud to prevent tension-corrosion. Best of all is the robustness of the system: there are no moving parts.
No fabric is too tight for Q-SNAP:
Q-SNAP is the only secure fastener with stretch function. It is developed for covers and sprayhoods on boats, and is perfect for all applications that require textiles to be tight and secure. Now even children and people with less strength in their hands can fix any tight cover or fabric. All thanks to the integrated lever of Q-SNAP.
It is just that bit of help to overcome the tension easily. The patented Q-SNAP is just like a normal press-fastener, with 2 additional parts: a ring underneath the cloth and a gentle hook on deck. This combination turns the fastener into a secured connection that won’t pop loose, while it incorporates a stretch-function(lever). The cloth is stretched as you fix.
