The performance
The company HARRY LUCAS is a textile machinery manufacturer specializing in circular warp / knitting machines. The highly specialized machines are exported worldwide for production of fabric used in the medical, technical textile and fashion markets.
HARRY LUCAS is also well known for the production of spiralizing and circular knitting machines for low and high pressure hoses which are used e.g. in the automotive industry.
The company employs 100 people and produces about 300 machines a year. With this international network HARRY LUCAS guarantees top quality at best prices with best individual customer service - worldwide.

Our Products
Circular warp knitting machines
Circular warp knitting machines for the production of tubular netting to be used predominantly for packing purposes or medical net bandages.
Circular warp knitting machines from 1/32" up to 8”, with 1 up to 4 layer rings.
Spiraling machines
Horizontal-operating spiraling machine carrying 2 x 8/12/16/24 yarn cones, intended for the continuous online operation between 2 extruders covering with a layer of spiraling or optional for knitted fabric on plastic-, silicon- and rubber tubes.
Machine-specification:
- Direct feed of the tubing through the machine at a height of one meter.
- Tubing haul-out effected by either a caterpillar haul-out device (800 mm, long/90 mm wide), special sizes are possible.
- Stitch or knock length are electronically selected and monitored.
- Solid, stable machine construction, with full-noise-suppressant guards, to ensure safe and quiet machine operation.
- All revolving machine elements are mounted on ball bearings and are therefore maintenance-free.
- A special yarn feed system, with yarn end detectors guarantee an even stitch or folding pattern (patented).
- Both folded and unfolded yarns can be used.
- One air brake operated for each machine ensures that the machine is stop within three seconds, even if the mains power and air supply fail.
- Spiral heads can be exchanged easily (parted construction available).
- Stitch size and tolerance, machine operating speed, production speed, length of production, operating hours, etc. can all be shown on display. Other options are also possible.
- A new patent for controlling the tension of the yarn give the producer the possibility to spiral around a hose without a core. The tension of yarn is adjustable from 30 – 120 cN. or higher. Also it could be used cylindrical cones , dipped yarn, or other difficulties yarns.
- The production of coreless hoses is more easyser or make it possible.
Winder
Winder for coil winding, with or without side-board. Can be used for tapes, ribbons, ropes, hoses of all kinds.
Machine specifications:
- Winding diameter up to 1200mm
- Winding width up to 2000mm
- Designed as taping or parallel winder
- Winding tension is controlled by a dancer control
Circular knitting machines
Circular Knitting Machines for the production of technical, medical and fashion products.
Circular knitting machines from 1/12” up to 20” in standard solution and from 21“ up to 40“ as individual solutions, produced according to the special demands of our customers.
The circular knitting machines can knit the following yarns:
- Aramid - up to 5000dtex
- Wire - with a diameter of up to 1mm (steel, copper, etc.)
- Glass fiber

Depending on the gauge, it is possible to knit yarn from 5 dtex up to 20000 dtex.
