Our commitment to the environment is present from the research and development of new fabrics, and is maintained throughout the manufacturing process. Following the green project that we started with Rmarko, we are glad to introduce you to our new multinorm fabric made with sustainable fibers: Smarko.

In this development, we have placed our focus on Tencel and organic cotton fibers, both recognized for their low environmental footprint. Thanks to their low CO2 emissions during the production process, we are able to say that we have successfully created a fabric collection that could reduce the carbon footprint by 25%.

In addition to its sustainable production process, these fibers are known for its comfort and versatility. It’s soft to the touch, highly breathable, and absorbent, making it an excellent choice.

Smarko is the sustainable version of our already known Marko fabric. The purpose of Smarko is to reduce Marina’s environmental impact while simultaneously preserving its technical properties, to ensure people’s protection for those working in various industries.

Smarko fulfills the European Standards of protective fabrics EN ISO (ISO 11612, EN 20471, IEC 61482-1-1, IEC 6148-1-2, EN ISO 1149-3 and EN 13034).

RMarko® is our new multinorm fabric made with a percentage of recycled material, maintaining its technical properties to ensure the people’s protection.

The recycling process consists on reusing the leftovers generated during the entire manufacturing process into recycled personal protection fabrics.

This fabric is the recycled version from our already known fabric Marko. Rmarko preserves the same properties as Marko by being an inherent fire resistant & multinorm fabric providing the necessary protection for those working in various industries including the petrochemical, electrical and automotive industries as well as for firefighters, police and security forces. It also has antistatic properties.

RMarko® is certified under the European EN ISO standards (ISO 11612, EN 20471, EN 61482-1-2, EN 11611, EN 13034, etc.) It is also in process of GRS certification.

All of these properties are tested an certified according to the EN ISO European standards.

The RMarko® fabric can be laminated, thus making garments that improve outdoor work performance. These fabrics are certified in EN 343.

Marko® ASTM is a multi-standard, permanently fire resistant that complies with the most demanding international certifications. This american standard fabric was designed to protect from electric arc, large fire deflagrations (flash fire), electrostatic risks and small acid splash risks.

Marko® ASTM surpasses American standards for protective fabrics for fire, NFPA 2112, protection against electric arc, NFPA 70E, and also surpasses the international IEC ISO standards regarding fire and flame resistance, EN 11612, anti-statics, EN 1149, as well as small acid splashes, EN 13034, and high visibility, EN 20471.

Marko® ASTM is tested both in home washes (EN ISO 6330) as well as industrial laundries (EN ISO 15797) and offers mechanical resistances that convert it into a fabric with excellent durability, without losing the comfort and feel that characterises the entire Marko® line.

This fabric can also be laminated to obtain garments that improve outdoor performance. This fabric is certified under EN 343.

Additionally, it offers very good colour-fastness and soundness when presented with light, rubbing and sweat, guaranteeing a long useful life for the garment.

Marko® is a permanent fire resistant fabric & multinorm fabric, designed to protect from electrical arc flash according to European norms and American ATPV values. This fabric is designed to provide multiple protection and comfort to end user. Marko ® is a fire resistant fabric used in different sectors, due to its wide range of protection and good confortability. Among its qualities there's flame resistance, necessary protection for various industries such as petrochemical, electrical, automotive ... Another quality is its antistatic properties(EN1149), thorough antistatic threads. Its comfortability, also makes it a good choice to dress firefighters, police and security forces. Marko® is a fabric designed to protect from electrical arc flash, with a good ATPV and EBT values, depending on their weight (refer to Technical data sheet). Marko® has a composition based on (modified) modacrylic and cotton and antistatic fibers, to guarantee its inherent properties throughout the lifetime of the garment. Marko ® is available in woven and knit. Marko® is certified with European standards of protective fabrics EN ISO (ISO 11612, EN 20471, EN 15025, ...). Plusmark ® is a development of a fire resistant multinorm fabric with high tensile strength, high resistance to aging and longer lifetime, than the most of the current fire resistant multinorm fabrics, maintaining softness and comfort. Plusmark ® is a blend fabric made from cotton, modacryclic FR, antistatic fibers (optional) and other synthetic fibers blend. This composition makes it a flame-resistant fabric with inherent properties that don't decrease with the fabric use. The fabric has a high tensile and tear strength, an excellent tear durability caused by the washing cycles. As another remarkable quality, highlights its softness (good level of comfort). Due to properties of this fabric, is a good choice in many industries, where protection against the following hazards is needed: heat, flame, antacids, anti-static and electric arc flash. Some sectors which currently are wearing garments made with Plusmark ® are: petrochemical, electric sector, shipbuilding, gas companies, industrial assembly subcontractors... Plusmark ® is evaluated under the European EN 6330 for domestic washing and, also evaluated under ISO 15797 for industrial laundries, and under many other protections EN ISO (EN 11612, EN 61482, EN15025).
