muriel ®-ts: is thermal stable (in the range T= -40 °C ÷ +350 °C) and flame resistant

The unique thermal behaviour of silicone made possible to develop muriel ®-ts, an elastic yarn characterized by thermal stability, flame resistance and a particular fire behaviour. The nature of the yarn makes it stable over a temperature range between -40 °C to 350 °C, with no elasticity loss. Moreover, when in contact with fire, it releases non-corrosive combustion gasses and, more important, it doesn’t drop but forms a non-toxic ash avoiding skin burns.

Using muriel ®-ts, and covering it with fire proof yarns, it is possible to create a completely new fire proof elastic textile, characterized by lightness, softness, flexibility and high comfort. With this textile it can be realized an innovative kind of protective clothes, that beyond the safety are able to maximize the movements, the comfort and the performances by the guarantee of the elasticity keeping.

Thanks to the properties described above, the application of this type of product can be for fire fighters, police and arm forces, in steel industry, automotive, aviation and aerospace field as well as to sport and home textiles applications.

muriel ®-grip: is used to realize anti-slip, low force and moisture management areas in textile products

muriel ®-grip exploits the high friction and the impermeability of silicone to realize a product with a high grip to any kind of surface, a low force and the possibility to create areas where moisture can flow out.

The innovation with muriel ®-grip is that it is possible to create selective anti-slipping areas with the yarn insertion directly during the production process. As told before, this yarn possesses a lower force than common spandex yarns, so the compression is low in this areas and the comfort increased. It is the high natural friction of muriel ®-grip which assures the remain in position without compression. Moreover, in comparison to a continuous silicone band, the use of a silicone yarn makes it possible the moisture management. The humidity is not absorbed by the yarns and finds a way out between them.

The selectiveness in muriel ®-grip use and its high friction give the possibility to apply it in many different fields to produce stay-ups, knee high, man socks, sport wear, underwear, gloves, narrow fabrics and so on.

muriel ®-ray: is resistant to UV-rays and weathering exposure with no mechanical changes

muriel ®-ray is an elastic yarn that shows no mechanical changes after weathering and UV exposure. In fact, differently than common polymeric materials, silicone is not subjected to ageing phenomenon. It means that muriel ®-ray can be used to create revolutionary products in climate control and management, as screen characterized by the possibility to select the sunlight filtration and long time performance.

Furthermore, based on the particular functionality of this product, the applications can open up to sunshade, curtain and home textiles field.

muriel ®-med: biocompatible, is used in plastic, aesthetic and corrective surgery

muriel ®-med is characterised by an excellent biocompatibility exploited in plastic, aesthetic and corrective surgery.
