PP-PE Monofilament Yarn

Description

PP-PE monofilament yarn made from a combination of polypropylene and polyethylene and twisted into twine and its name is POLYSTEEL. Used in the manufacture of cords, braided and twisted ropes, boat ropes, netting or cores for steel ropes.

The input material for this twine is a monofilament fibre of 1,500 or 3,000 denier (1,667 or 3,333 dTex). The twine has a linear weight ranging from 6,000 to 63,000 den (6,600 to 70,000 dTex), with a relative strength ranging from 6.9 to 7.7 g/den (6.1 to 6.8 cN/dTex).

UV stabilization of POLYSTEEL is standard at a level of 100 kLy and is produced by a combination of the above fibers. The ideal combination of polypropylene and polyethylene gives the fibre significant strength.

The yarn is resistant to weather, acids, alkalis and solvents, it is non-toxic, colourfast, 100% recyclable and floats on water.

Polypropylene Multifilament Fibre MULTITEX

A technical yarn with a wide range of applications - it enters products as a semi-finished material in the production of yarns, cords, braided and twisted ropes, woven webbing, netting or filter fabrics. It is sold under the trade name MULTITEX.

Its shape is either circular or triangular. However, the fibre can also be hollow. Linear masses range from 210 to 4,000 den (233 to 4,400 dTex), with relative fibre strengths ranging from 4.0 to 7.4 g/den (3.5 to 6.5 cN/dTex).

The yarn is colourfast, weatherproof, resistant to acids, alkalis and solvents, 100% recyclable and non-toxic. We also stabilize MULTITEX against the effects of UV radiation from a value of 0 to 500 kLy. Based on the thread’s final use, it is possible to modify the thread parameters in the range of the above mentioned criteria. Of course, other possible technological operations such as twisting into simple and complex constructions or thermofixation are all possible. The range of colours for these yarns is very wide, with more than 100 different colour variations.

In addition to the classic fibre, we also supply the fibre in the following modifications:

  • NON-FLAMMABLE

We produce it under trade name ANTIPYREX. It is a polypropylene high-strength technical yarn with a flame retardant additive. This is primarily based on the needs of construction companies that use safety nets made of materials with reduced flammability. The flame retardants used have a negligible effect on strength and UV stability. Used in t he manufacture of braided and twisted ship and industrial ropes, woven technical textiles, rope nets for construction and transport, in the power industry. ANTIPYREX fibre is tested according to DIN 4102, class B1 and DIN 4102, class B2 as well as according to FMSS 302. ANTIPYREX with UV stabilization 300 kLy was additionally tested according to ČSN ISO 4589-2 and according to ČSN EN ISO 4892-3 for accelerated ageing due to UV radiation.

  • LUMINESCENT

In addition to regular Multitex, we also produce LUMINOUS MULTITEX. It is a luminescent polypropylene multifilament yarn with a special additive that makes the material emit its own light in the dark, so it is visible without using any other light source. The yarn only needs to be exposed to natural or artificial light for "recharging", after which it glows for roughly another 5 hours.

  • ANTIMICROBIAL

Yarn treated with an antimicrobial treatment that is non-washable and permanent, it significantly inhibits the growth and activity of microorganisms. The antimicrobial treatment is non-toxic and manufactured in compliance with REACH. The modification has no negative effect on the yarn’s technical parameters. The yarn is suitable for garments and textiles in healthcare, for cleanrooms, filter fabrics or filter cartridges for soda machines.

  • ANTISTATIC

The treatment minimizes static electricity, no dust clings to the fibre.

  • ABRASION RESISTANT

The yarn is more elastic and more resistant.
