Development of pultruded structural components for use in the commercial vehicle sector

Use of integrated UHF RFID ribbons:

• Compatible and flexibly integrated RFID ribbon for the highly automated process for the production of fiber-reinforced components
  
• Suitable for the continuous pultrusion process
• Enables the reading/digitalization of components using UHF reader

Used material:

Fibers:
Predominantly glass or carbon fibers in the form of rovings, textiles or semi-finished textile products

Matrix:
Polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy or phenolic resins

Possible application:
Integration of RFID chips into structural components for tracking purposes (e.g. conclusions on production batch and parameters for problems such as early component failure)
