INH Quality Management
Description
The ideal handling of sewing machine needles in sewing plants
One of the biggest challenges for sewing companies is the risk of end users sustaining an injury from pieces of a broken sewing machine needle left in the garment. Such incidents can lead to compensation claims and loss of orders from brand owners and buying houses. The patented INH Quality Management (Ideal Needle Handling) developed by Groz-Beckert supports you in adhering to compliance regulations and facilitates the handling of sewing machine needles in your production plant.
INH Quality Management consists of several hardware and software components. The needle dispensing trolley and the needle return box improve the needle change process by providing all necessary tools and serving as a storage area for new needles as well as a collection point for broken and damaged needles.
To avoid manual documentation and physical storage of needle fragments, INH Quality Management offers two software components: the mobile app INH@site and the browser-based application INH@office. INH@site, installed on a tablet on the trolley, is used to take pictures of all used or broken needles and save them digitally to maintain a complete chain of evidence. INH@office is used to enter all data, such as production orders or sewing lines with machine inventory. Furthermore, it enables a data-based analysis of the needle consumption and helps to identify and solve problems such as incorrect machine settings. It also provides full transparency for buyers and brand owners, allowing them to conduct online audits.
Your benefits when using INH Quality Management:
- Digital and sustainable needle documentation:
Thanks to the fully digitalized documentation of needle changes, there is no need to stick needles on paper. This saves resources and enables environmentally friendly disposal of the needles. - Transparency and data-bases optimizations:
The digital documentation of needle changes enables a data-based analysis of the needle consumption and reveals potential for improvement. Problems such as incorrect sewing machine settings can be identified and optimized. - Increased efficiency:
The time required for needle changes and their documentation is significantly reduced. Downtimes in production can be avoided. - Reliable and standardizes processes:
The standardized process for handling needles ensures that the right needle is always used on the right sewing machine. - Stronger customer relationship:
The end-to-end process takes into account both internal requirements and the buyers’ compliance regulations. It is generally applicable.
