The company was founded in 1956 and is family-owned up up to now.
Because of a large innovation-power FROHN has continuously grown und exports worldwide.
The FROHN HighTex Group consists of 3 divisions:

FROHN-TEXTILKULTUR / hometextiles und fabrics for fashion
FROHN MEDITEX / textiles for clinics, nursing, bed hygienics and wellness
PRO-BELTING / technical textiles, focal point multifunctional protective textiles

The company has been awarded several innovation prizes.

For weaving FROHN uses Dornier-looms (even in Jacquard-technology) and is able to weave fabric width till 200 cm and weights from 80 g till 500 g per square metre.
Following materials are used: Cotton, Linen, Viscose, Polyester, Polyamide, Polyacryl, Meta- Aramides, Para-Aramides, Modacrylic/Cotton, Preox, Antistatic fibers, Metalyarns (Silver, Copper) and special yarns (for example core-yarns).
Some fabrics are coated (for example PU-Coating).
Coloring of yarns und fabrics can be done even in special colors, resp. according to customer wishes.
