Printed & Jacquard Webbing
JACQUARD WOVEN WEBBING
Using the Jacquard weaving method, lettering and patterns designed to customer requirements are woven into Polypropylene webbing. Specialist Jacquard looms are programmed to weave the design into the body of the webbing, taking into account the width, colours and repeat spacing. The lettering appears on one side and the reverse is plain.
Advantages of Jacquard weaving:
- Virtually unlimited patterning options
- Elaborate and intricate designs possible
- Woven pattern will not fade or wear off
- Ideal for larger quantities
PRINTED WEBBING
Using the sublimation transfer process, we are able to print Polyester webbing with branding, promotional, safety or other messaging up to photographic quality with outstanding results.
Key features of webbing printing:
- Accurately reproduced artwork
- Permanent and colourfast printing
- Double- or single-sided printing
- Available in 20mm, 25mm, 40mm and 50mm standard widths
- Minimum order quantity – 100 metres for standard webbing and for lighter weight bindings
- Cost-effective
- High-quality results
- Ideal solution for lower quantity requirements

Sewn Webbing Assemblies
In addition to webbing production, Bowmer Bond has an established sewing department.
We create a wide range of Webbing Assemblies (sometimes know as Made-up Units), sewn webbing straps and cam buckle straps.
Webbing assemblies are manufactured by our skilled staff using our specialist industrial sewing machines to lockstitch, bartack or flag stitch to our customers’ specifications. For volume orders, we can programme special stitch patterns.
We develop products from customers’ drawings and recommend the most suitable webbing from our Cotton, Polypropylene webbing, Polyester webbing and Nylon webbing ranges.

Secubond ® PVC-coated weldable webbing solutions
With quality and innovation at its core, Bowmer Bond introduces Secubond®, a range of PVC-coated weldable webbing solutions. SecuBond® products combine cost-effective solutions with assured strength, durability, flexibility and performance.
The PVC-coated range includes:
- Weldable Webbing
- Weldable Zip
- Weldable ParaAramid Webbing
- Weldable Woven Loop Webbing
- Weldable Zip Keder
Secubond® PF (Phthalate Free) is the newest addition to our Secubond® range of PVC-coated weldable webbing solutions, this new product is designed to be more sustainable. A PVC coated webbing which is better for the environment and for the welfare of those welding and processing the webbing.
By completely removing Phthalates from the process, Secubond® PF webbing is a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional PVC Coated Webbing.
The Phthalate Free low melt coating is unique to Bowmer Bond, less energy is required to weld at the same speed permitted by a lower melting point when compared to traditional PVC coated webbings. This feature allows for optimum welding performance at lower remelt temperatures without compromising on the features of the original Secubond® webbing.

Technical Webbing
Our Technical Webbing Range
Bowmer Bond manufactures a wide range of technical webbing solutions designed for high performance whilst providing enhanced safety for users.
For special performance applications where high strength, low modulus and flame retardant properties are paramount, Bowmer Bond can produce webbings from Technora®, Nomex®, Kevlar® and Dyneema® or equivalent fibres.
Bowmer Bond high performance webbings offer many sought after features such as temperature, abrasion and chemical resistance, with each having unique qualities differentiating it from other technical webbings. If you are unsure which webbing is best for your project, speak to an adviser today.
All technical webbings manufactured by Bowmer Bond use fully traceable raw materials. Our manufacturing process operates to the standards of our quality management system which is certified to ISO9001.
Meta-Aramid Webbing
Meta-aramid webbings such as Nomex® possess many of the same features as Para-aramids but tend to be used in slightly different applications. The Meta-aramid fibre is usually manufactured by wet spinning and is often used in protective clothing for firefighters and other emergency/rescue services due to its high-temperature resistance and its properties in chemical degradation and abrasion.
Other fibres belonging to this group are Conex® and Kermel®. Meta-aramids offer many benefits for high-performing safety applications due to the way the fibres cope with heat transfer.
Para-Aramid Webbing
Para-Aramid webbings possess a range of features and benefits that make it ideal for high-performance applications where high tensile strength, low elongation and temperature resistance are important.
The Bowmer Bond Secubond® range of PVC coated para-aramid webbings offers benefits for applications that involve the restraint of load movement whilst still able to provide functionality via buckle use or ratchet fixing.
Para-aramid webbing is the generic name for well-known materials such as Kevlar® from Dupont® which has endless opportunities for applications such as aerospace and automotive components, industrial safety and protective clothing such as body armour. Technora® and Twaron® also belong to this family of products.
Para-aramid webbings are the most versatile of the technical webbings. It is inherently flame retardant and does not melt at high temperatures which is crucial in many high-performing safety applications. Further to this, Para-aramid is lightweight and provides high-tensile strength along with reduced extension under load.
ULTRA HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE (UHMwPE) WEBBING
Also known by the brand name Dyneema®, this fibre type is woven into webbing which delivers market-leading performance for tensile strength and abrasion resistance. Dyneema® offers excellent strength performance with low extension, therefore these webbings offer outstanding benefits in sports, leisure and outdoor applications.
This fibre family of webbings is ideal for applications which demand high strength (up to 15x stronger than steel and up to 40% stronger than para-aramids on a weight for weight basis), lightweight and durable properties.
