Energy-efficient spunlace and wetlaid/spunlace lines

AUTEFA Solutions offers complete lines for the production of direct and crosslapped spunlace products. The web forming process, consisting of the Injection Card and Crosslapper Topliner series, is the key to high and consistent web quality. The main challenge in high speed web forming lines for spunlace is to keep the fibers under control at all times and process stages. The AUTEFA Solutions Injection Card enables (drylaid) web forming at very high production rates. The Injection Card uses a combination of mechanical and aerodynamic principles for gentle fiber treatment. The Injection Card delivers a high quality web at the highest production with a better MD/CD. With the Topliner CL4006 SL AUTEFA Solutions offers a crosslapper with special features for the spunlace application. Highest layering speeds and precise weight distribution are possible thanks to the integrated drafting unit, the compensation belt, the antistatic equipment and the newly designed transport aprons.

Wetlaid - Spunlace is the technology of choice when it comes to sustainable and cost effective nonwovens made from 100% cellulosic raw materials such as pulp, viscose or lyocell. With the challenge of rising energy costs and higher costs for raw materials and other production resources, wetlaid - spunlace products produced on energy efficient and reliable machine technology are the answer. The cooperation between AUTEFA Solution, offering new and energy saving spunlace technology, and PAMA Paper Machinery, expert in wetlaid technology for special applications in paper, is a perfect match. .

lines for aerodynamic web forming

AUTEFA Solutions offers several Airlay machines for aerodynamic web forming as well as complete Airlay lines. The portfolio includes, among others, the V21/R – Airlay K12 aerodynamic web forming system (more than 500 installations worldwide), the Airlay K12 with High-Loft module to increase web bulk, and the Airlay FUTURA V12/R aerodynamic web forming machine as a compact and cost-effective solution.

Depending on the raw material, Airlay lines are fed via chute or hopper feeders and are designed as a two-stage process: pre-web forming (V21/R) followed by single-fiber opening and 3D randomization (K12). The FUTURA design, with components mounted on a linear guide system and a modular configuration, supports easy cleaning and maintenance as well as application-specific line layouts.

For web consolidation, the lines can be combined, among others, with needle looms (Stylus NL) and the HiPerTherm thermobonding oven; depending on the configuration, mechanical, thermal, and chemical bonding processes are also possible.

Processable materials include man-made fibers, natural fibers, reclaimed textile waste/shoddy, as well as carbon and glass fibers (approx. 1.7–200 dtex, up to 100 mm). Typical basis weights range from 150–8000 g/m²; the FUTURA V12/R, for example, produces 400–7000 g/m² (depending on configuration). Typical application fields include filtration, automotive substrates, thermal and acoustic insulation materials, interlinings, and mattress felts.
