About us
EuraMaterials as a European cluster supports companies and industrials in their innovation and development in materials and textiles.
As innovation increasingly occurs at the crossroads of different markets and materials, we facilitate the connection between textile specialists and those of other materials – such as plastic, composites, cardboard, glass, ceramic, wood, metal – to meet and exchange ideas.
Our job :
- linking skills, resources, technologies (thanks to our local/national/European networks, we are able to bring all the expertise to our members) ;
- engineering to transform your idea into an innovation project, then into a product;
- support for the development of your company (financing, follow-up, etc.).
By fostering collaborations between Business and Research, we enable our members to find solutions, innovate, open up new markets and grow.
Our network is made up of companies and partners established in the Hauts-de-France region, in France, in Europe and abroad.

Project engineering & innovation support

Circular Economy
We can support you in the development of your circular economy strategy and the development of your innovative textile sustainability (material substitution, recycling...). We rely on a background of several European projects, our experts and our network.
Northern France has companies covering the entire textile value chain, from collection to yarn. Significant resources are deployed to manage the end-of-life of clothing.
EuraMaterials supports its members in their efforts in this area, with a particular focus on the development and recycling of technical textiles.
In particular, we are a partner in the RegioGreenTex project, a project promoting the collaboration in research and development for the textile industry between the four major sectors of society - industry, government, research institutes, and the public - in establishing a systematic circular economy business model across the EU.
We are also the leader of the RE-APS project, which will be launched in 2024. This project aims to develop the recycling of polyester textiles using the thermomechanical process, i.e. pre-treating and crushing polyester textile wastes, melting them and reusing the granules obtained in the textile industry.
Alternatives and substitutions for materials and processes
EuraMaterials and its members are deeply committed to sustainable development.
One of our missions is to help companies make the transition from petro-based materials to bio-based and recyclable alternatives, thereby helping them to reduce their carbon footprint. In this regard, we are focusing on the adoption of new materials such as natural fibres and biopolymers, while introducing environmentally-friendly treatments and finishes.
We support companies in their innovation drive, providing them with our expertise to optimise their processes and materials.
We are stepping up our efforts to research, develop and implement alternative solutions, from replacing petroleum-based materials with bio-based alternatives, to using recycled materials and implementing less energy-intensive processes. With a particular focus on eco-design, recycling, re-use and re-purposing, we are working to create a positive impact on the environment and contribute to a more sustainable future.
