With more than 115 years of experience at our location in Oederan/Saxony we are producing all kinds of high grade sewing and embroidery threads, ornamental threads and technical threads “Made in Germany”. Our quality management is ISO-certified and meets highest requirements by guaranteeing a constant quality of our products. For this purpose we are using the latest technologies.
Of course all employed raw materials are of ALTERFIL-specification and high-grade standard. Sustainability of our products and our production line has been very important to us for many years.

Our products are controlled regularly at the institutes and undergo constant further developments in cooperation with our clients.
ALTERFIL products meet the OekoTex 100 standard product class 1 (baby).
We are pursuing extensive measures of research and development for being well prepared for the future. Therefore, next to conventional textile and apparel industry, we are also engaged in threads for fire resistant textiles, textiles for industrial safety, automobile industry, sanitary products, packaging industry, geo-textiles, filter and cleanroom technologies as well as water-, dirt- and oil-repellent textiles.

We are offering our products in the same quality and colour chart for industrial usage as well as for the hobby sector, the specialized trade, directly ex works or at our large online alterfil-shop.
