In aeronautics, the weight of equipment is a major issue, with every kilogram saved increasing the payload that can be transported.

The Eurosandow teams therefore worked on the material used for the straps that make up these nets. The solution is based on a tubular strap made of HMPE (high modulus polyethylene), a particularly resistant material that is significantly lighter than traditional polyester.

The result is a strap that is two to three times lighter, while maintaining the same mechanical performance.

By combining our expertise in braiding and overmolding, we have developed numerous multi-material overmolded automotive parts.

This part, for example, is composed of four different overmolded materials. The cord is made of latex and polyester and then overmolded with PA6,6 and EPDM.

The complexity of this production process lies in the fact that all these materials have very different melting temperatures
