Cittadini spa produces a wide range of braids and ropes from 0,4 up to 40 mm of diameter, made with all the synthetic fibers: nylon, polyester, polypropylene, polyethylene, Dyneema®, Kevlar®, polysteel and with natural fibers (like cotton) too.

The braids are a kind of article that can be customized to the specific needs of the customers: in fact they can be produced as single braid version, with or without core,or as double braid; also the kind (“round” “square” or “flat”), texture (“smooth” or “raised”), colors and the stiffness can be varied according to the request.

Twisted ropes are other very flexible products: they can be used in fishing, sport, agriculture, yachting, industrial, technical and fashion applications. Usually the ropes are produced in 3 or 4 strands version, with different synthetic or natural materials and diameters according to the characteristics requested by the customers.

Along with the normal braid and ropes Cittadini spa can also provide ultra-high performances items, made with the most advanced materials like Dyneema®, Kevlar®, suitable for safety, sports or industrial applications. It is also possible to apply special treatments and coating that increase their already exceptional breaking strength and create a more compact and durable article.

Cittadini spa can also deliver many different types of laces, usually made in cotton or polyester material, that can be used in footwear sector (for example shoe-laces for classical or sport shoes) or in industrial or fashion applications. They are available in many sizes, length, colors and finishing as per customer demand.

The fields of application of these yarns are very numerous: weaving, ribbons and belts production, automotive, protective clothing, electrical and motors, advanced materials etc.

It produces in fact single and multi-plies twines, made of polyester, nylon, aramidic, meta-aramidic, Dyneema®, carbon, steel staple fibers yarns, and even other more particular ones. It is able to process multifilament, monofilament, multi/monofilament and mixed types of raw materials. The counts range may vary from a diameter of 0.10 up to 0.60 mm for the monofilament yarn and from 50 denier up to 20.000 den for multifilaments, finished in various twisting solutions.

Thanks to its internal winding and dyeing departments, Cittadini spa can provide those yarns dyed according to colors and packages sizes requested by the customers. The exclusive color know-how developed in years of experience permits to the Company to meet the highest standard of color uniformity and fastness of the Automotive sector or the latest China regulations.

For technical applications Cittadini spa can provide flat, twisted high and ultra high tenacity yarns and extra low or super high shrinkage yarns.

Moreover internal developed production lines can produce coated, waxed or bonded flat yarns, twines or braids with special finishing able to confers for example, superior gliding behavior , extra UV performance, particular abrasion resistance, fire resistance, oil-repellency, water-proof or aderization property.

TENAXFIL EXTREME, made with Dyneema® fiber, provides an incredible specific tenacity which allows to reach tensile strengths which are impossible to match with other synthetic yarns. Another important aspect of TENAXFIL EXTREME is its resistance to UV, weathering, acids in general and mildew. In high humidity ambient or sea operation situation it is the perfect solution to maintain optimal performance expectations in terms of retention of tensile strength and fiber integrity.

TENAXFIL FIRE STOP is a para-aramidic fiber sewing thread, which responds to the need to complete the protection of people who wear flame resistant fabrics, ensuring protection from fire and heat conditions. TENAXFIL FIRE STOP has a very high thermal resistance while ensuring at the same time exceptional tensile strength to the breaking and strain. Therefore, due to its intrinsic characteristics, FIRE STOP is an auto-extinguishing sewing thread able to offer simultaneously a good abrasion and cut resistance. It is available in various counts, in both continuous or spun thread.

TENAXFIL FIRE STOP+ is a meta-aramidic fiber sewing thread; thanks to its particular construction and the material used, it allows to fulfill in the best way the needs of fire resistance and sewability of the yarn. It ensures a good thermal protection and allows, by virtue of his elasticity, top seam performance, while maintaining a good mechanical strength. FIRE STOP+ allows also the color customization, according to the substrate to be used.

TENAXFIL ANTISTATIC is the antistatic HT sewing thread developed by Cittadini spa for the safety clothes making-up industry. TENAXFIL ANTISTATIC allows to create a conductor link also in the seams, which is rather impossible with a normal sewing thread.

TENAXBOND PES is a HT polyester bonded yarn, specifically designed to offer a better resistance to UV and abrasion than regular HT PES yarn. It is able to sew on the most resistant materials and it delivers a special softness and smoothness thanks to the “STS SILK” finishing and the special bonding treatment.
