Description

Instrument to determine the flammability resistance of textiles and the flame propagation rate onto vertically oriented textile materials.
Suitable to test: protective fabrics; technical fabrics in general; clothes and furnishing fabrics.
The instrument can be also used with toys, as well as with both natural and artificial leather.
ISO Flammability Lab is fully automatic, since it is equipped with a PLC that controls and records the movement of the burner, the distance of the same from the samples, and the flame propagation time from one set distance to the other one.
Equipped with serial port for connection with Personal Computer, and for data storing and print.
Optional:
Radiator (Code 3392E.40) to analyse the flammability resistance of textile materials exposed to the heat of a radiator (as required by the EN 13772).

Frontal panel with user-friendly design characterised by:

  • wide LCD touch screen display for easy setting of testing parameters;  
  • graphic layout of the testing heads;  
  • graphic scheme to select the type of test and the movement path;  
  • on/off, start/stop and emergency keys.  

Three types of test movement: abrasion (big Lissajous), pilling (small Lissajous) and rubbing (linear). The desired movement is performed according to the set position of the 3 driving pivots, as shown by the graphic scheme on the control panel.

Intuitive software for the setting of testing parameters, such as number of cycles per testing step (with consequent stop), speed (23,75 - 47,5 - 71,25 rpm), increase/decrease count­ing modality, display language.

Easy access to all the testing positions.  

Sample and abrasion surface can be easily inspected without removing the plate.
