Customized automation solutions for processing technical textiles. Handsaeme Machinery (Belgium) is specialized in customized machinery for the carpet and technical textile industry. We develop, manufacture and install automated finishing and processing lines to cut, fold, inspect, weld, (un)roll, pack and staple many different types of technical textiles. From unrolling to packaging, we can provide the solution you need. We have experience with many different types of technical textiles such as Agrotextiles, Geotextiles, Industrial textiles, Home textiles & artificial grass and carpet backings.
We always ensure that our machines can be optimally deployed so it can be used for different purposes. Often, a machine has be able to handle different products or materials and sizes. These different settings are preset, and are easy to set up via touch screens. All machines can also be turned perfectly into an existing production line, or be extended with optional units. The last years we have developed a wide range of machinery to handle a great variety of technical textiles, foils and fabrics, either woven, non woven or knitted.
The vast group of textile products need to be handled very carefully to assure they keep all their specific assets and qualities. Our engineers work out solutions that are tailored to handle these strong yet delicate products. They think out en re-engineer if necessary the best ways to keep the correct tension on the cloth, so that it doesn't get wrinkled or folded while unrolling or rerolling, or that the material doesn't unravel after cutting, etc.
We are specialized in automation of handling (rolls of) technical textiles: cutting, folding, welding, inspecting, (un)rolling and/or packaging and palletizing. Artificial grass carpet cutting, rolling and packaging
Finishing line for tufted grass carpets with 3 main functions. Firstly, the machine is designed to unroll pre-fabricated artificial grass to desired length and cut it to coupons of different sizes. The second main purpose of the machine is to reroll the coupons on an axis applying side steering. The final purpose of the machine is to pack the rolls in plastic foil (stretch foil or belly band packing) so they are ready for delivery.

Cutting & welding of textile filters
Cutting machine with welding unit to process different qualities of textile filters. After the determination of the desired length of the filter, they are cut and then transported to the welding unit by a belt and a gripper that are both designed according the specific length of the filters. Finally the filters are ultrasonically welded and evacuated into boxes.

End-of-line roller and winding section for thermally bonded nonwovens
Roller at the end of the production line of the nonwoven material for straight and hard rolling the fabric uninterruptedly. The machine continuously detects faults created in the fleece forming process by camera and automatically labels them while rolling. When the roll of newly produced and inspected material reaches a certain diameter or weight, the fabric is cut transversally and the rolling of a new mother roll is started up automatically.
The winder is a separate unit to process the mother rolls and remove the production faults while unrolling. After the fault in the fabric is eliminated by cross cutting the material and sewing both parts together again, the material is rerolled into the output rolls which must be flawless of creases, folds and layers. If desired, the rolls can also be cut to smaller sizes.

Folding machine technical textiles
Machine to unroll the big mother rolls of the agro textile material and fold it double. The rolls of 4m width are now only 2m wide and the folded cloth is pressed between 2 rollers so it can be rerolled more tightly. This finishing line is primarily used to prepare order-based large coupon sizes on rolls. After the fabric is rolled, it is cut by a welding wire and then the customized roll is closed automatically with tape on the packing table.

Cutting, packing and palletizing line for woven agro textiles
Machine that makes “store-ready” rolls of polyprop woven textile. The mother rolls of the material are unrolled and then cut in length with ultrasonic cutting heads fast and without raffles. While the fabric is rolled, it is pressed by a pressure roll to create hard rolled end rolls around automatically inserted tubes. Then the rolls are cut to size and packed, if desired with a paper insert. To close the plastic around the roll, a flat seal in combination with longitudinal tape guarantees waterproof packed rolls. An automatic stacking station completes the finishing line.
