About us
Windtex Vagotex S.p.A. was born in the 1980s in Vago di Lavagno, in the province of Verona, which has always been a crossroad for important trade.
Soon, with the creation of the innovative and technological membranes for footwear and clothing, it was decided to reorganize the company, both from a structural point of view with the creation of a new modern headquarters in Colognola ai Colli, and from an organizational point of view with the acquisition of new machinery and specialized personnel. The characteristics of the membranes, together with a precise strategy aimed towards the development of the brand with strong investments in the products, have allowed, in a short time, to achieve unthinkable results for Windtex products.
Today Vagotex is a leading company in the bonding and processing of fabrics for technical sportswear and footwear in general.

The laboratory extends over an area of 200 m2 with 20 machines for quality controls and a dedicated airconditioned area used for testing. Up to today over 40 different kinds of tests can be carried out for each item. Test reports are registered and archived whilst all technical sheets are available to customers on request. The quality of the products, together with the competence, have allowed to obtain the international certification ISO 9001: 2000, Certificates n ° 157-1 and 36-1, Oeko-Tex standard 100 and the Global Recycled Standard. A dynamic and positive company philosophy, built in harmony with the values of sport, have made possible to create specific fabrics for the various sports disciplines with the aim of refining the technical qualities of the materials to adapt them to increasingly large and complex situations. The strength of Windtex Vagotex is the “field testing”, many athletes, in fact, test the products in the most extreme conditions, where the body is put to the test by wind, rain and freezing temperatures. Thanks, therefore, to reliable testers and constant research, fabrics bonded with Windtex®, have become a real point of reference in the world of sports such as mountaineering and cross-country skiing, sailing, cycling and all activities where clothing can affect performance.
The name Windtex® was born from the word wind and textile. The shape of the trademark with the final “X” facing right, similar to the “forced turn” of a motorway sign, indicates an obligatory passage. The resulting concept is the following: “If you want to protect yourself with maximum comfort, you must necessarily switch to Windtex®”. In this way the concept of elasticity is highlighted as an exclusive feature of Windtex®.
The colours of the brand name that fade towards the iris, with a strong preponderance of yellow, express a tension towards positivity and dynamism. The positioning, within an elliptical and harmonious geometric shape such as the oval, the shape of the face, highlights a strong human energy. The whole company philosophy is therefore contained in the Windtex® brand: dynamism and positivity in harmony with the values of life and sport.

Our recycled wadding is born from the recycling of our polyester selvages.

WINDTEX ECO arises from the need to offer our customers new product categories with a concept of sustainability.
For this reason, the membrane we make is produced with resins formulated in water, thus avoiding the use of chemical solvents which can be, if not properly treated, dangerous for humans and the environment.
This type of article is waterproof, windproof, breathable and helps to maintain body heat, it is a membrane suitable for use as an interior in a two or three-layer article.
It is a membrane that resists well even to washing, both in water and dry, in order to allow an extension of the life of the finished product.
WINDTEX ECO is widely customizable thanks to the possibility of pigmenting the resin obtaining unique combinations on the finished garment.

Quickdry Frame™ Technology
Two opposite features can coexist, working in synergistic symbiosis.
By means of special production equipment, it is possible to apply a precise functional grid to multiple products in leather, fabric and microfibre. This technology allows excess moisture produced by the human body during perspiration to be controlled and channelled through a hydrophilic process to exponentially increase the level of comfort. Functional on both large and small surfaces, its design is fully customisable, allowing stylistic re-interpretations of the product and enhancing the less noble surfaces of materials or artefacts. QUICKDRY FRAME™ enhances already familiar performance of the material as a real COMFORT-BOOSTER, without changing the appearance, the water-repellent properties or the features for which the product has become famous. Creativity and Imagination now have a powerful functional tool: QUICKDRY FRAME™.

It accelerates the loss of moisture produced by the body through its process, enabling the sensation of warmth and dryness in cold periods and of fresh wellbeing in hot periods.

Fully customizable in pattern, colouring and hydrophily levels.
Backside Facelift
Applied to the back side of materials, it restores value and functionality to their hidden side, through “visible” technology and an innovative look.
Cover Eco

For this reason, the film we make is produced with resins formulated in water, thus avoiding the use of chemical solvents which can be, if not properly treated, dangerous for humans and the environment.
This type of article is waterproof, windproof, helps to maintain body heat and has a low swelling effect which therefore allows the rain to slide off the garment quickly.
It is a membrane that resists well even to washing, both in water and dry, in order to allow an extension of the life of the finished product.
COVER ECO is widely customizable thanks to the possibility of pigmenting the resin obtaining unique combinations on the finished garment.
