Continuum: Armrest Recycled PES
Thought to be part of a closed lifecycle loop, this prototype was built from recovered post-industrial waste having in mind a systematic approach to sustainability. The raw materials of the textile are synthetic and of recycled source, guaranteeing a high-end performance to the final product, that allied with its’ minimalist surface delivers an intemporal solution to the mobility sector. The material was thought to achieve the most demanding end-uses considering demanding abrasion cycles and no-changes effect.

Translucent TPO Foil with Printed Mask for Dynamic Button Interface
Description of the Prototype:
The prototype consists of a translucent TPO foil, which works as a touch interface. On the back of this foil, a printed mask is applied with symbols corresponding to the desired buttons. These symbols are printed in a way that is not visible when there is no back light. When the light source is activated, the symbols will be revealed, thereby revealing the buttons to the user.
This creates a dynamic interface, where button symbols are visible only when needed, providing a seamless surface, without symbols when the light is off - hide-until-lit effect.
Advantages:
- Hide-until-lit: The surface remains clean and without visible symbols when the light is off, providing an elegant and minimalist aesthetic to the vehicle interior.
- Dynamic Interface: Button symbols appear only when the light source is on, making the interface more dynamic.
- Seamless: By replacing physical buttons with this dynamic button interface, we eliminate the spaces between physical buttons, providing a smoother and integrated surface.
- Customization: The printed mask can be easily customized to display different sets of symbols, allowing greater design flexibility and adaptation to user preferences or vehicle requirements.

CRUDUS : Armrest PES /Linen
As an intimate blend of natural sourced and recycled fibres, the combination of linen and recycled polyester offers an organic touch and fresh feeling to the mobility sector. The usage of these typologies of fibres enhances the sustainability levels of the product as well as the perception of future innovation. Having in mind the demanding principles of the mobility sector, this fabric base was drawn to fulfil most demanding characteristics of mechanical behaviour.
