About us
Texpack® is a manufacturer of packings, tapes, twisted ropes, cloths and sleeves, for thermal insulation with dynamic use, of pumps and valves.
It produces and markets industrial gaskets of different types and sizes, offering a complete range of sealing systems and products for high temperatures, as well as a range of products for the maintenance of fireplaces and stoves dedicated to the consumer market.
Texpack® was founded in 1993 as a result of the business experience of Giorgio Lanza and Simonetta Ghisi, who began specialising in the manufacture of textile products in glass, silica, Texil®, Biotex®, Thermaltex, Pyrotex, Tenack and Aramtex® for thermal insulation at temperatures from 200°C up to 1,200°C.
Since 1993 Texpack® has continued along the line of constant and continuous investment, following the direction of technological research and using cutting-edge production methods. Texpack® has always looked towards the future, using specialised technical staff for each individual process.
This strategy has led to its transformation from utilising a small initial space to occupying its current production and commercial headquarters of over 10,000 m2, selling products in Italy and the world.
Since its foundation the company has changed continuously with the market to meet the needs of the customers, becoming an established reality.
The company is deeply rooted in the local area, where, since its foundation, it has always maintained its corporate headquarters.
Texpack warehouse is capable of countless items, the company guarantees fast and effective deliveries through a modern management system for incoming and outgoing goods constantly monitored by the shipping area. Orders placed are traceable at any time in order to satisfy the customer regarding the progress of deliveries.

Our Products

SILICA CLOTH
Silica cloth is made with silica yarns. The silica yarns are made of continuous glass fibres with a diameter of 6 μm and over, and with an additional treatment to increase the overall proportion of SiO2 to over 94%. The product is used as a reinforcement for composite materials, and as an acoustic, thermal, hydraulic and electrical cable protection insulator. Under normal conditions it has good chemical stability. The substances, or compounds, protect the surface of the glass fibres from damage that may occur during transfer and improve the technical properties requested by the user. The item is compliant with the REACH directive.
Applications
Silica cloth is used in the form of: insulation of high temperature furnaces and turbines, covers to protect against metal splash and sparks, furnace curtains, blankets for removable lagging, sleeves for piping, compensators.

THERMALTEX CLOTH
Thermaltex cloth is made using special “HT” glass threads that are textured by means of a chemical purification treatment to type “E” glass thread, which increases the resistance to high temperatures of up to 700°C, while guaranteeing good mechanical resistance. Thermaltex cloth can be reinforced by means of stainless steel wire both in the warp and in the weft to offer high mechanical resistance. Available in various colors. Thermaltex cloth can also be aluminium-foiled to reduce fraying when cut and to afford further protection from radiating heat, or otherwise silicone-coated to provide maximum protection against various types of liquids and welding splatter.
Applications
Nautical, naval, motorbike and car industries, gas and steam turbines, steelworks, foundries, boilers, ship turbi-nes, nuclear industry, industrial plants, petrochemical industry.

GLASS CLOTH
Texpack® VT glass cloths consist of 100% textured and/or volumised glass yarns for temperatures of up to 550°C. Having undergone special finishing treatments, they comply with various requirements for use as heat insulation at high temperatures. Completely non-combustible and providing high level mechanical characteristics, they resist temperatures of up to 550°C. They are chemically stable and corrosion-resistant. Compared with the glass yarns produced with continuous twisted VR yarns of the same weight, the glass fibre fabrics produced with volumised yarns are thicker and, therefore, offer greater heat resistance. They comply with international standards concerning non-combustible materials and have a low chloride content.
Applications
Power plants, chemical and metallurgy industries.
The cloths are used in the form of:
- Covers to protect against metal splash and sparks;
- Blankets for the mobile lagging of valves, flanges, turbines and boilers;
- Expansion joints and special tapes for applications on complex shapes;
- Sleeves for piping.
For particular applications, the cloth can be coupled and/or coated with aluminium, polyurethane, vermiculite and silicone.

GLASS TAPES
This glass tape, an excellent substitute for asbestos, is made entirely from 6-9 μm glass yarns that withstand temperatures up to 550°C. On request, the tape is available with an adhesive side, a drop-warp type tape, of a black colour, caramelised or treated with vermiculite.
Applications
Heat protection, covering of cables, insulation of pipes and exhaust pipes, electrical insulation.

WHITE SQUARE AND RECTANGULAR GLASS PACKINGS
The square / rectangular glass pracking is made from the braiding of 6/9 micron glass yarns. The maximum re-commended working temperature is 550 ° C. This kind of packing can be treated externally with silicone grease, vermiculite or graphite.
It can be provided also round.
Applications
Boilers, industrial furnaces, oven doors, coke furnaces, cookers and stoves, fire doors.
