The Chair of Textile Technologies was re-established in May 2014. It is dedicated to textile issues ranging from classic clothing textiles to high-performance textiles made from carbon or metallic materials, for example. The focus is on process development for new applications, design and modification of textile machines and product development. The main areas of activity are the development of technical textiles for fiber composites, for textile-reinforced concrete and metallic composites.
