Since 1973, Matex is the leading company in manufacturing machines for coating, lamination, impregnation, embossing, lacquering and drying for solvent-based or solvent-free based products, applied to different types of substrates, made of natural or synthetic fabrics, films, silicone or polyethylene papers and woven no-woven.
Matex can supply complete manufacturing lines or single machines for industrial applications.
Matex's successes are the result of a daily commitment and close collaboration with customers, followed at each stage of the production process by highly trained and specialized engineers. Starting from the meeting between Matex experts and the customer for the analysis of needs, passing through the study of the project and the definition of the feasibility, along with the design and the meetings between different engineering departments. Then, reaching the assembling phase, the strict verifications on the qualitative correspondence of the machine, to conclude with shipment, installation and commissioning. Our Products
Rototextile
Rototextile includes all those equipment known as “direct coating” where chemical compound is directly deposited on substrate.
Compounds can be solvent, solvent-less or water based, latex, rubber, etc…
Available for substrates even more than 5000 mm wide, such kind of equipment are suitable for unlimited application fields, either for civil and industrial applications.
Rotofinish
Rotofinish are those machineries and plants required for surface finishing on coated substrates or on plastic films with lacquers or colours by using coating cylinder systems.
Most of times compounds are water or solvent based.
These lines feature mostly for the accuracy of product transferred on the substrate. Operator can adjust preciously the quantity of compound (ink) thanks to the micro adjustment of lacquering cylinder further to the type of engraving on it.
Rotolabo
With “Rotolabo” we consider all those machines designed for new products development or improving existing products.
These machines are laboratories borne to simulate industrial processes from roll to roll.
Easy use, flexibility, reliability are their main features.

Rotomark
Rotomark are strong manufactured equipment combined with accuracy and easy-to-use solutions as well.
Matex produces embossing group with vertical cylinders, horizontal cylinders, embossing paper or different embossing substrates.
The accuracy and the easy & fast changing of the embossing cylinders are features well know on Rotomark lines, which are today supplied with cutting edge electronic components as well.
In fact, they are now “active” equipment which modifies parameters automatically, based on production and environment changing conditions, in order to grant always the best result during prodcution process.
Rotocoat
We identify with Rotocoat family all the plants where coating is done on substrate made of paper or plastic films.
The most common coating systems are executing by knife or by cylinder, and coated quantities must be controlled with a very high accuracy.
Smooth or embossed release paper is one of typical substrates used as carriage for synthetic leather production.
By a final in-line separation unit, the paper transfers its finishing and design on the coated compound. In such case, paper can be re-used several times.
