Model 840 AW Automatic Take-up Winder
Leesona Model 840 AW is the latest in the series of automatic tape and filament yarn winders.
Capabilities includes winding polypropylene/polyolefin flat or fibrillated tapes, multifilament
coated and twisted yarns, and other high performance fibers. It is especially designed to meet
the ever-increasing demand for efficient and cost-effective tape and filament yarn winding.
Automatic changeover on full doff, including tape transfer

Model 987 Tension Controlled Un-rolling Spindle
The Model 987 can be manufactured in either of two technical designs: 1) positive pay-off and compensated control of tension by operating the torque motor with the flow of the yarn path. 2) tension controlled un-winding of fibers and yarns by operating the torque motor against the flow of
the yarn path. Tension to the yarn strand is applied by a pneumatic cylinder connected to each compensator arm. Central control of tension is possible by using an adjustable, single precision air regulator interconnected to all positions. The Model 987 can be manufactured to accommodate a
wide range of core diameters and lengths. Longer distance between package and compensator panel mimimize scuffing of yarn during un-winding. For applications which do not require precise tension control, the Model 987 is also available without the tension compensation control.

Model 944 Spooling/Parallel Take-up Winder
The Model 944 is a multi-purpose spooler was designed to wind many yarn types onto various sizes of flanged spools.
Design and Features:
• Winding heads are mounted on a removable rigid panel for quick change-out and maintenance.
• Tension systems are front mounted for easy access & adjustment.
• An optional structure mounted waste aspirator is available.
• Available as 2, 3 or 4 winding heads high and up to 16 spindles in one structure.
• Simple yarn path for quick thread-up.
• Spools from 100 DIN to 355 DIN.
• Safety lock-out switch in each cabinet.
Various traverse systems available for parallel or level winding, including ball screw type and
computerized digital wind systems. Standard parallel winding and index winding options.
