Cordenka GmbH & Co. KG is the leading producer of technical rayon.
Our headquarters and yarn-production facilities are located in Obernburg, Germany. Converting operations are located in Obernburg, Mühlhausen/Thüringen and Gorzów, Poland. Cordenka employs more than 600 people in total.

Cordenka® Rayon is a high-tenacity, cellulose-based manmade fiber and is mainly used as reinforcing material in high-performance tires, mechanical rubber goods and composites. As a biobased and biodegradable fiber rayon is a well established material and holds key features for a sustainable future.
At Cordenka we stand for sustainability on three different levels. Our biobased material rayon is an ecofriendly alternative to oil based fibers – keeping the environment free of plastic and fossil carbon in the ground. In the production, we minimize the necessary resources and make sure they come from responsible sources. Last but not least, our R&D lab is constantly developing rayon-based innovations for a sustainable future.
