Polyester Fabrics

 Meltex has a very good product range of polyester dyed and printed fabrics offering a wide range of coatings.  We also produce wider-width polyesters ranging from 150cm to 183cm.  Polyester fabrics are traditionally used in sportswear applications due to polyester's quick-drying properties. The use of polyesters is also preferred in the soft furnishings business for indoor and outdoor use due to its ability to withstand high heat settings which is required for sublimation printing and UV properties when used in outdoor applications. 

Hi-Visibility

 We offer polyester/cotton and 100% polyester fabrics certified to BS EN ISO 20471 used primarily in the workwear sector. Our hi-visibility range can be supplied dyed, dyed + DWR, coated, FRPU coated and breathable coated.  All our BS EN ISO 20471 fabrics are certified by SGS.  We offer twills, satins, and oxford weaves as well as a 100D yarn that can be used in a wide range of applications.

We also produce a high-tenacity 1000D polyester, producing fabrics with high-tenacity yarn enables us to certify the fabric to BS EN ISO 20471 and BS EN ISO 388 level 1 as well as supply a fabric with good tear and tensile results.  This fabric is suitable for use in protective vests, molle carriers, and workwear which is suitable for the police and immigration services.
