KURALON™ PVA fiber
Key benefits;
- High tenacity and alkaline resistance for concrete reinforcement; Durable concrete structure leading to life-cycle efficiency
- High tenacity and dimensional stability for rubber reinforcement; Better and safer mobility
- Outstanding seeding performance for spores in seaweed farming; High-yield seeding and settling
- Subject fiber and water-soluble binder for paper-making; Stronger or alkaline resistant paper
Main areas of application;
Concrete reinforcement / Rubber reinforcement / Specialty paper
Main features/properties;
Kuraray is the world’s leading producer of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber as well as resin.
KURALON™ is a synthetic fiber made of PVA, which is used in many industrial applications owing to its unique and excellent performance such as high-tenacity and -modulus, dimensional stability, hydrophilicity, alkaline resistance and UV-stability.
Staple fiber, short cut fiber, filament and spun yarn are available.
KURALON K-II™ , water-soluble PVA fiber, is available to suit intended uses such as water-soluble packaging and support material, owing to wide range of water-solubilities from cold water to boiled one.
