Adopting SHIMA SEIKI's original SlideNeedle, 4-bed WHOLEGARMENT knitting has steadily evolved with significant increases in productivity on MACH2X and expanded knitting range with the spring-type sinker system on MACH2XS. Now SWG-XR features a renewed sinker system and a compact, light-weight carriage featuring 4 systems as well as auto yarn carriers. All contribute to higher efficiency of 25% or more, increased product and yarn variety for supporting knits for all seasons, and higher quality for knitting beautiful fabrics and silhouettes; even items that were impossible to knit with the MACH2 series. THE GLOBAL STANDARD FOR INTARSIA KNITTING WITH NEW LOOP PRESSERS

SHIMA SEIKI's global standard for intarsia shaped knitting has undergone renewal with new loop pressers. The new N.SIR123SP is capable of producing unique designs in knit fabrics, especially inlay patterns, which combine knit and weave characteristics to produce hybrid textiles. In addition, the i-Plating option can be combined with inlay patterns as well as sinker patterns produced with the patented spring-type moveable sinker system, opening up a whole new world of patterning for truly diverse knit design. Meanwhile a lighter, more compact carriage yields higher productivity. N.SIR123SP carries over established SHIMA SEIKI technology such as the R2CARRIAGE System, Digital Stitch Control System (DSCS), stitch presser, takedown comb and yarn gripper and cutter system. An all-new full-color LCD touch-screen control panel greatly improves on the previous monochromatic display as well. The new “SWG-N2” series is SHIMA SEIKI’s compact class of WHOLEGARMENT knitting machines. Featuring our renowned SlideNeedle on a 10-, 16-, 24- and 36-inch wide needlebeds respectively, SWG021N2, SWG041N2, SWG061N2 and SWG091N2 are capable of producing a range of fashion accessories from gloves, socks, hats, mufflers, neck-ties and other small items, as well as childrenswear and even leggings and tank tops, all in their entirety, with no sewing or linking required. The new SWG-N2 series features the proven R2CARRIAGE system for higher productivity. A larger number of yarn carriers and holding hooks for yarn cutting, as well as a separate yarn holder with increased capacity allows for even more flexibility in multi-color knitting. In addition to their established reputation in the fashion industry, the SWG-N2 series is also capable of producing technical textiles, such as industrial material, sports, medicine and safety, expanding your business potential far beyond present limits.

WHOLEGARMENT CAPABILITY WITH FLEXIBILITY AND VERSATILITY

Evolved from the MACH2S, SHIMA SEIKI's MACH2VS is an extremely versatile machine which realizes quality knitting in a range of production styles. As a conventional shaping machine, it is capable of all-needle knitting in its available range of 8 to 18 gauge, while WHOLEGARMENT knitwear can be produced in half-gauge fabrics. The range of usable yarn and material has increased as well, thanks to i-DSCS+DTC as standard equipment. The R2CARRIAGE system that yields quicker carriage returns for greater efficiency, now features a lighter carriage for even higher productivity. For versatility, MACH2VS is even capable of gaugeless knitting whereby a number of different gauges can be knit into a single garment. A new full-color touch-screen monitor improves operabiity over the previous monochromatic one. Other standard features include USB memory interface and a backup power supply. The great flexibility of MACH2VS makes it the perfect choice for adopting high quality WHOLEGARMENT production while maintaining flexible support of varying market demands.
