Neu Kaliss Spezialpapier GbmH -Your special papers for diverse applications
Breathable, water-repellent / water-absorbing, removable, flame-retardant, noise-absorbing, compostable, flushable, hot-sealable, FDA approved, suitable for coating - nonwovens produced by Neu Kaliss Spezialpapier meet a wide variety of requirements regarding to quality.
This is only possible by using a host of innovative technologies. Europe's most innovative wetlaid nonwoven manufacturing facility with inclined wire technology is in Neu Kaliss. Products manufactured and processed by Neu Kaliss Spezialpapier are often customized – exclusive premium nonwovens produced by using the latest technology.
We have one paper machine and a small pilot machine:
- Paper machine (width 2.25 m)
- The pilot machine (width 60 cm)
Since 1989 Neu Kaliss Spezialpapier belongs to the internationally operating and Germany's best-known family company Melitta® which mainly focuses on coffee and coffee preparation products.
We manufacture specialty papers and nonwoven materials for industrial use.
Our wide range of products includes nonwoven base for wallpapers, acoustic and conductive nonwoven (using carbon fibres), filtration media, diverse nonwoven products for automotive and food industry as well as packaging, hygiene, cosmetics and medical / tape sector. In our paper business (paper converting section), the operating division produces and processes coffee filter papers, crepe papers, bakery tray papers, drip catchers, udder papers and extractor hood filters.
We offer: Technical support at your site production monitoring modern laboratory and regular production checks internal and external trials running depending on customer requirements - we can optimize our products in many different ways (grammage, width, roll/reel diamater, fibres etc.)

Special Fibre Blends
The technology used in our paper machine for the production of wet-laid nonwovens using the inclined wire process enables bonding of various types of fibers (PLA, bico fibers, carbon, glass fibers, PET, viscose, ...) to produce high-quality nonwoven products and specialty papers with technically demanding properties that meet the complex industrial and customer’s requirements.
Whether 100% PET nonwoven base or 100% cellulse paper, we offer a wide range of products!
