CARL WEISKE's specialties include sustainable as well as flame retardant products:
- Permanently flame retardant fibers and yarns (FLAMEX).
- Sustainable & flame retardant staple fiber yarns (FLAMEXGREEN)
- Recycled fibers and yarns from used PET bottles - post consumer (GREENTEX)

COOLPLUS: Moisture-wicking filament and staple fiber yarns
COOLPLUS – Enjoy the cool effect.
COOLPLUS textiles wick sweat away from your skin very quickly for faster evaporation. This keeps your skin noticeably dry and cool for longer periods and the fabric does not stick to your body.
COOLPLUS keeps you drier and therefore more efficient during sports while increasing the wearing comfort of sports underwear, functional clothing and orthopedic devices.
Perfect comfort for a wide range of applications.
Our innovative COOLPLUS fibre features high breathability, better moisture distribution and an optimal cooling effect.
Yarns
- 100% Polyester staple fibre yarn COOLPLUS / ring-spun / semi-dull / Nm 20-68 / 1-2 ply
- 100% Polyester filament yarn COOLPLUS / textured / semi-dull / dtex 83 / 1-2 ply
Advantages:
- moisture wicking
- fast drying
- breathable
- high wearing comfort
- easy to clean

FLAMEXGREEN: Sustainable & flame retardant polyester yarns for various applications
FLAMEXGREEN - Sustainable & flame retardant.
Due to national and international fire safety standards, flame retardant textiles are used especially for furnishing public and semi-public buildings.
As a sustainable alternative to this, Carl Weiske offers FLAMEXGREEN, a flame retardant staple fibre yarn made from at least 50% recycled, post-consumer PET bottles.
Upcycling PET bottles can save crude oil, energy and CO2 during production, because it does not require the basic materials ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid, as well as energy to produce a new polyester granulate.
GRS certification guarantees traceability and compliance with social and environmental practices along the entire recycling product chain - from bottle recycling to finished yarn.
- OEKOTEX Standard 100, Class 1
- Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification
- REACH compliance
- Permanent flame retardancy
- No reduction of the flame retardant effect due to usage or washing
- Good processing properties
Quality controls of the semi-finished and finished products guarantee high product quality. Our engineers define a detailed production process and a product design in accordance with requirements for the manufacturing of the yarn.

GREENTEX: Recycled yarns from used PET bottles (post-consumer)
GREENTEX - the sustainable alternative.
It's time to do something...
- Plastic production requires about 8% of the world's oil production.
- 17,000,000,000 PET bottles per year - in Germany
- Forecast for continued plastic consumption: by 2050 more plastic in the sea than fish
GREENTEX polyester fibres and yarns are made from recycled PET bottles. 100 % of the recycled bottle polymer is used in the production of GreenTex.
GREENTEX increases resource efficiency and protects the environment.
Your advantages:
- Hazardous substance testing of the bottle polymer
- Traceability of the recycling cycle
- Certified according to ÖkoTex Standard 100
- GRS certification (Global Recycled Standard) possible
Fibres
- 100% PES, recycled GREENTEX semi-dull 1.6 dtex / 38 mm
Yarns
- 100% Polyester staple fibre yarn, recycled GREENTEX / ring-spun / semi-dull / Nm 10-68 / 1-2 ply
- 100% Polyester filament yarn, recycled GREENTEX / textured / semi-dull / dtex 83-183 / 1-4 ply
Functions & Effects
- dope-dyed and yarn-dyed
- fancy yarns

FLAMEX: Flame retardant polyester yarns comply with national & international fire protection standards
FLAMEX – Together on the safe side.
We offer effective safety with our FLAMEX flame-retardant polyester fibres and yarns for high-quality textiles in a wide range of applications.
Fabrics from FLAMEX significantly reduce the risk of fire spread in the event of a fire, thereby preventing the spread of hazardous, toxic gases.
Guaranteed safety
- Fabrics made from FLAMEX yarns are certified as flame retardant building material of material class B1, DIN 4102 and comply with international fire standards.
Permanent flame retardancy
- The flame redardant effect of FLAMEX is ensured even after frequent use through the fix anchored phosphorous-organic compound in the fibre.
Variety of application
Flame retardant textiles made of FLAMEX are suitable for a wide range of applications. Also for strict safety requirements.
Producing FLAMEX flame retardant polyester yarns we do not leave nothing to chance. Permanent monitoring of the used raw materials, semi-finished and finished products is very important to achieve a constant high level of quality.
FLAMEX yarns & fabrics produced by our customers will be tested on their flame retardancy. After successful approval, our customers can be sure that the fire protection standard DIN 4102 can be complied with.
