Barthels-Feldhoff was established in 1829 as a sewing thread dye shop and yarn twisting mill by the great great grandfather of the present managing partner. We have always been looking for new products and innovative technologies. Barthels-Feldhoff has begun to produce woven cables and hoses since the onset of electrification: they are used for the production of electric engines, and currently manufactured in the partner company of Erfurt, specialised in weaving techniques.
Nowadays, the world of sports for example accounts for an important market share in our portfolio. Our modern product range extends from fine and reinforced woven linen for kites to ropes for parachutes and paragliding.
In an era of lightweight construction, we are constantly developing new strengthening textiles for composites, whether for sports equipment such as the hockey stick above, or for example for aircraft construction.A lot of areas, in which every spared gramme is important, depend from these modern textiles.
Our modern dyehouse allows us to offer our customers a wide range of services in the field of yarn dyeing and textile finishing.
Problem research and solving in partnership with our collaborators is one of our major challenges.
