Shieldex® EMC Enclosures
Shieldex® EMC Enclosures are used for RF measurements, mobile forensic activities and pre-compliance testing. These mobile and flexible textile Faraday cages, made of shielding fabrics, can save time and money compared to external facilities. The unique, three-layer shielding effectiveness is up to 95 dB from 0.03 GHz to 16 GHz.

Shieldex Fabrics
As the global market leader in silver-plated fabrics, we finish woven, knitted and non-woven fabrics with 99% pure silver, but also with copper, nickel and tin. A multilayer combination of these metals is also possible. Especially in the field of EMC, the fabrics provide a shielding effectiveness of up to 100 dB in the frequency range 0.2 GHz to 14 GHz.

For our products we exclusively use pure silver with a purity grade of at least 99%. Thus, we consciously distance ourselves from harmful nano-silver.

Technical textiles of the future - Made in Germany
Shieldex yarns enable the union of textiles and electronics, giving rise to innovative textile products that can heat, light and be used for electronic sensor applications. With a power resistance of up to <30 Ω/m, silver-plated Shieldex yarns can be integrated into a wide range of applications. The worldwide unique Shieldex metallization process ensures our and your success. Shieldex products guarantee better conductivity, homogeneous heat distribution and washability of textiles metallized with silver. Customized structures can also be realized with a special process.

High Conductive Yarns
We have developed High Conductive (HC) yarns especially for the field of electrically and thermally conductive textiles and their applications, which rely on a special conductivity of textiles. Due to an increased silver content in the individual filaments of the multifilament yarns and its twisting, we are able to produce extremely good resistance values (up to <30 Ω/m) for an optimal connection with electronic devices.

Partial metallization on flat goods
Our partial metallization technology enables us to map customer-specific, freely selectable shapes of sensors, antenna systems, bus line systems, heating coils and capacitive sensors onto flexible, stretchable material and integrate them into customer applications.

Shieldex prevents odors before they arise
Shieldex technology combines quality, durability and sustainability. The 99% pure silver has an antimicrobial, anti-odor and temperature-regulating effect in the textile. Due to the reduced amount of bacteria, the clothing can be washed less at low washing temperatures. Shieldex textiles are used, for example, in sportswear, socks, bed linen, towels and gloves, as well as cleaning cloths and cleaning utensils. Silver is a biocidal active ingredient according to §67 of the EU Biocide Regulation.

Less is more
Microbes and bacteria are found in clothing, shoes, bed linen and towels. The complex interaction between bacteria and sweat, for example, creates individual (body) odors. To prevent bacteria and the often unpleasant odors from multiplying further, Shieldex offers silver-plated yarns and fabrics.

Protects what matters
Shieldex offers versatile textile solutions for lightweight, flexible and durable shielding of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation (up to 14 GHz) to protect data transmission networks and electronics. Shielding performance can be tailored to customer requirements through the use of various fabric constructions and metal coatings. Shieldex textile solutions provide optimal protection in the infrared range for clothing (uniforms), equipment, aircraft, vehicles and satellites that need to remain invisible to thermal imaging cameras.

Protection from infrared radiation
Shieldex textiles developed for the infrared range are designed to camouflage exactly what should not be visible. The product Shieldex® RS UK IR is already successfully used to camouflage and shield people and objects in the range of mid (MIR) and long wave (LIR) infrared radiation (3.5 - 15 µm wavelength).

Antistatic - Shieldex fibers
Our Shieldex fibers can be easily blended or spun with natural and chemical fibers, making them particularly versatile in their applications.  Due to the conductive property of silver, voltage is dissipated and thus discharge is prevented.

They are used in clothing and home textiles - for example, in carpets to prevent static charge in airplanes or office buildings. Shieldex fibers are available in various lengths and designs.

Our fibers are also incorporated into clothing. In the process, the garment is enhanced by the positive properties of silver. It has an antimicrobial, skin-protecting, fungicidal, temperature-regulating and even odor-inhibiting effect. This combination is interesting, among other things, for neurodermatitis, compression, EMC-shielding, but also for sports or everyday clothing.

Antistatic - Shieldex yarns
With an electrical resistance of up to <100 Ω/cm, Shieldex yarns are ideally suited for static dissipation. The conductive yarn is primarily processed in antistatic screen aprons and shielding braided sleeves.
