Thanks to its integration into the TITK Group, smartpolymer GmbH guarantees a high level of innovative strength in order to be able to implement customer-specific requirements in an outstanding manner. The materials research expertise of TITK - Thüringisches Institut für Textil- und Kunststoff-Forschung e.V. (www.titk.de) can be utilized if required. Furthermore, access to the testing services of OMPG mbH (www.ompg.de) is possible. Cell Solution® functional fibers are produced particularly environmentally friendly with the patented ALCERU® procedure. The active substance is directly integrated into the cellulose matrix imparting a permanent function to the cellulose.
Cell Solution® - turns ordinary garments into active products.
Cell Solution® CLIMA is a natural cellulose fiber with an integrated phase change material (PCM).
Cell Solution® CLIMA fibers absorb excessive heat (from the body or environment), accumulate it and release it under certain conditions. This allows, for instance, temperature regulation that gives the user of the textiles an extraordinary wearing comfort and an excellent microclimate.
In the case of Cell Solution® CLIMA products this is a paraffin that melts in a temperature range between 28-35°C.
Paraffin has the capability to latently accumulate energy when it is liquid. That means that at the time of phase change from solid to liquid state there will be no further heating of the paraffin and thus of the environment for a defined time.

Cellulose – a natural product
Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE is made of wood from sustainable forestry. Cellulose is breathable and regulates moisture. Textiles made of cellulose are more absorptive than cotton, they are silkier than silk and cooler than linen. The fiber naturally absorbs excess moisture and takes it to the outside. The ability of cellulose to transport moisture is superior to that of the synthetic fiber. The fiber structure supports a pleasant skin climate and is temperature-balancing.
Cell Solution® functional fibers
The fibers are produced particularly environmentally friendly with the patented ALCERU® procedure. The active substance is directly integrated into the cellulose matrix imparting a permanent additional function to the fiber.
Ecological high-tech fiber
Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE fibers exhibit a pleasant skin climate and excellent moisture absorption. The cellulose matrix is equipped with antimicrobial and / or antiviral functions imparting hygienic properties as well as a protection against harmful bacteria, viruses and germs. Nanotechnology is not used in the production procedure.
Antimicrobial and antiviral properties
Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE is a natural cellulose fiber provided with antimicrobial properties. Besides a natural skin climate harmful bacteria and germs can be fended off .
Simultaneously, Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE is safe against viruses like Influenza or Covid-19. Even after 30 sec 99.9% of viruses are killed. Both features are maintained throughout the entire life of the textile product. Only a proportion of 2 – 6% in nonwoven or garment is efficient.
Pure luxury for the skin
Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE is the natural barrier against bacteria, fungi, viruses and other pathogens. Imparted antimicrobial functions render harmful bacteria harmless, antiviral features destroy virus shells. Positive side effect: Unpleasant odors are eliminated in this way.
Textiles containing Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE are used in medical technology and are one of the most efficacious and natural remedies in this field. The healing process, in particular, of open wounds and neurodermatitis is accelerated. This is caused by the blocking eff ect on bacterial growth. Due to these properties Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE products are particularly suitable for highly sensitive people. Furthermore, when Cell Solution® BIOACTIVE is used in face masks their effectivity within very short time makes virus containing aerosols inactive.

Textile skin care
Cell Solution® functional fibers are produced particularly environmentally friendly with the patented ALCERU® procedure. The active substance is directly integrated into the cellulose matrix imparting a permanent function to the cellulose.

Cell Solution® SKIN CARE is a natural cellulose fiber with skin-caring properties. The combination of cellulose fibers with embedded vitamin E and caring oils yields the pleasant wearing comfort plus cosmetic effects in addition.

Cell Solution® SKIN CARE fibers are certified to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 product class 1 (textile items for babies and toddlers up to 3 years).
Cell Solution® SKIN CARE fibers are produced based on ISO 9001:2008.
Cell Solution® SKIN CARE fibers are washable.
The release of vitamin E has been proven even after 50 wash cycles at 40°C with a mild cleaning agent. The transfer of alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) from the fiber to the skin has been demonstrated in simulated wear tests (test report No. 14.8.5.0091 of Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH & Co. KG).

Materials research and testing services
According to its integration into TITK Group, smartpolymer GmbH guarantees a high level of innovative strength in order to be able to excellently implement customer-specific requirements. If required, the material research expertise of TITK - Thuringian Institute for Textile and Plastics Research can be used. Furthermore, access to the testing services of OMPG - Ostthüringische Materialprüfgesellschaft für Textil und Kunststoffe mbH is possible. The laboratories of OMPG are accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Textile testing
OMPG can offer a very wide range of textile testing. The equipment permits the testing of single yarns, textile fabrics (woven, knitted, non-woven) and composite components. The range includes mechanical, physical and processing tests on textiles. Special examinations of the content of harmful substances, the emission behaviour and textiles analytics complete the offer. Other specialisations of OMPG are aging, durability and flammability tests. Tests of light fastness, fastness to perspiration and saliva resistance can be offered in addition. Process tests can be performed on spunbond fabric, wet laid and needle-punched nonwovens facilities. There is a long tradition in processing natural fiber products.
Composite materials
The range extends from nonwoven mats, honeycomb plates to deep-drawn or back-injected components. OMPG owns diverse pilot plant equipment and test equipment for the manufacture and testing of these special materials. The range includes mechanical, physical and processing tests. Special examinations of the content of harmful substances, the emission behaviour and fibre analytics complete the offer.
Other specialisations of OMPG are aging, durability and flammability tests. Tests of UV and weather resistance can be offered in addition.
Leather testing
Leather-covered components are used for special vehicle applications. The material tests must cover the specific characteristics of the natural material and also its use. The test spectrum for leather applications of OMPG ranges from mechanical tests, abrasion and durability tests and emission measurements.
Foam materials
Foam materials and foamed plastics are used more and more with the aim to reduce the weight. The testing of foam materials is performed in compliance with special standards and offered by OMPG. The special punching tools and the required test specimen holders are available. The range of tests includes mechanical and physical tests of foam materials. Special examinations of the content of harmful substances and the emission behaviour complete the offer. Other specialisations of OMPG are aging, durability and flammability tests.
