Braided Ropes
Floating Ropes are made up of polypropylene or polyethylene. They are most commonly used as a piece of safety equipment.
Uses-
- water rescues
- mooring or towing in wet conditions
- use whenever in need of lightweight rope that won't absorb water
- suitable as a throw line for life buoys
Polyester Ropes are as strong as Nylon and retains its strength when wet. It’s the most abrasion-resistant of all synthetic ropes.
Uses-
- sailboat running rigging
- anchor rode
- towing lines
Polypropylene Ropes are the least expensive and not fit for dockline ropes since they tend to cause cuts if they run through the hand. They float and are appropriate for rescue lines or other applications where you want to be able to see the line on top of the water.
Dockline Marine Ropes are constructed of polypropylene material and are able to float with little to no absorption of water. They have resistance to rot, mold, mildew and are also capable of insulating against electric currents.

There are various types of elastics used in underwear and pyjamas as listed below:
Underwear/ Pyjama elastic is meant to come in direct contact with skin and accordingly should be soft. The elastic has a plush-back to provide extra comfort. It will not narrow when stretched and is shrink resistant. This elastic is a great option for items you will wash and wear.
