Coated Yarn Industrial for fabric reinforcement

Coated Yarns Industrial is our range of yarns developed for the technical-industrial world, with high performance and variety of applications in mind: yarns specifically designed to satisfy the growing needs of an ever-changing industrial reality, catered according to the different requests of our Customers.

Our Technicians thrive in this reality and strive to meet all the latest market requests. Our supply chain is proudly Italian and European, with providers fully certified under the standards of their respective fields.

Our Coated Yarns Industrial range includes yarns with cores of different nature such as, but not limited to:

  • Fiberglass, Steel, Carbon, Aramid fiber, Basalt, Polyamide, High tenacity Polyester

which are covered in extrusion by coating with different thermoplastic materials:

  • Co-Polyamide low melt, known for its high adhesive power and broadly used for fabric stabilization, it is also compatible with Epoxy resin. The variety we use is proudly derived from bio, renewable sources, in full compliance with our attention for the environment; Polyester low melt, which can be melted at low temperatures and easily bonded with other fibers; Polyamide 12, with high resistance to abrasion and chemical agents; Peek, a superpolymer with melting temperatures above 300 ° C, used in the world of composites thanks to its unique mechanical properties; Polypropilene, due to its great compatibility with rubber; EVA, broadly used by virtue of its very low melting point and excellent adhesion properties; TPU, which features excellent resistance to abrasion, oils and fats, weather, wear and tear, light, solvents, therefore being an excellent multifaceted choice for a broad number of applications, and many other materials. Ageing stability and lightfastness are a given.

All of the above being available in a variety of customizable counts and core diameters, we also developed varieties with extreme resistance to abrasion and Flame Retardant properties. Depending on the final application and Customers’ specifications, we are able to design coated yarns with unique features, such as resistance to alkali, sea water, UV rays and much more: all in all, the combination of core and coat allows for customized, high performance solutions.

Our custom-engineered solutions provide technical answers to most industrial yarn requirements. Our coated yarns are based on different core fibres, usually covered with polymeric materials in order to enhance their functional properties and make the end product suitable for a variety of fields, including Composites, Military, fabrics aimed at the structural reinforcement of buildings and infrastructures, Cables, Nets, Ropes, Workwear, Transportation and Telecommunications Industries.

Especially our CopaGlass yarns (eglass cores coated with CoPolyamide lowmelt, available in various counts) are the perfect solutions for fabrics stabilisation and reinforcement of Unidirectional, multiaxial fabrics and meshes (either in glass, carbon, steel, aramid or even basalt…), thanks to the compatibility of our CoPa with all kinds of resins used in the curing process and the complete nonshrinkage effect on the fabrics.

TPU Evolution® for shoe uppers

TPU Evolution® is our 100% made in Italy and 100% recyclable polyurethane yarn that gives space to your creativity, thanks its infinite possibilities of use and the wide range of colors and counts available.

TPU Evolution® can be used for all kinds of knitted creations, on flat bed or circular machines, as well as for shuttle fabrics: it is successfully used for the creation of bags, outdoor and safety shoes, sneakers, outerwear, but also sweaters, ribbons, accessories, furniture and more technical wear and applications.

TPU Evolution® can be knitted or waived by itself or in combination with any other yarn, from the traditional noble fibers to the most technical fibers.

TPU Evolution® guarantees a very high resistance to abrasion, hydrolysis, solvents, oils and greases, UV rays and aging. It is also permanently antimicrobial and enhances the brilliance of colors.

TPU Evolution® is Oekotex Class 1 certified and produced according to a zero-waste logic: it is a sustainable yarn, 100% recyclable, solvent-free, and colors are produced with water-free technology.

Tpu Evolution(R) is successfully used for the production of shoes, both outdoor, sneakers and safety shoes.

For safety shoes, Tpu Evolution(R) grants a really excellent resistance to abrasion, weather, wear and tear, oils, greases and solvents.

When used for knitted shoe uppers, Tpu Evolution can be inserted in the areas that need reinforcement, such as tip and heel, or for logos and skins. The result is a shoe upper that can be produced in one go, with logos and skin effects already incorporated. The finishing treatment allows for different degrees of lamination and matt or glossy effects. One knit, one shot, one shoe.
