Electronic control: When parameters change frequently
The Precision Cross Winder DS 10E has an electronic control. It was developed for companies subject to constantly varying requirements to the winding process. This applies in particular to contracted rewinders that need to adjust to the individual customer product requirements at short intervals. Manufacturers with a broad product range also benefit from the diverse options.
The machine electronically adjusts its winding width, thread tension, contact pressure, speed and other parameters. Being able to choose between dancer control and scissor brake is a special feature. The user can make this change without help.
Robust mechanical design for continuous operation
The mechanical version, the DS 10M, has no electronic control for the crossing. This reduces costs. The setting is made via change gears. Bicon equipment is possible as well. This permits increase or decrease of the package width by up to 25 millimetres during the winding process. This type of machine is mainly used where the lines rewind the same product for months and changes are rare.
Dietze+Schell also offers the DS 10E and DS 10M as take-up versions for winding of continuously delivered threads or yarns.

The fully automatic DS 352 precision cross winder winds and rewinds textile and technical yarns. It can be used for in-line and off-line operation and employs a continuous flow principle: Threads are fed in on one side and full bobbins are removed on the other. This is an essential prerequisite for end-to-end process automation.
One or two winding points are arranged on separate racks. The plant operator can combine any number of these components to form production lines with networked winding stations. The compact design is advantageous, especially when space is scarce.
The fully automatic bobbin change is performed at maximum production speed. Automatic application of an adjustable thread reserve per bobbin can be set. The empty sleeves are fed via a magazine from behind. The system ejects full bobbins onto a conveyor belt or a tray.
The machine was developed for continuous operation. The configuration is customised based on customer requirements. Dietze+Schell has developed a modular system for efficient and cost-saving adaptation.

DS Alfa
DS Alfa

Manual or automatic bobbin swap
DS Alfa specialises in the manufacture of technical yarns and baler twines. Dietze+Schell offers several versions of these. In the stand-alone version with manual operation, an operator handles the empty sleeves and full bobbins. The DS Alfa can also be integrated into a transport system for fully automatic packaging of the finished packs. Automatic bobbin swap is possible when the thread is not moving.
Central yet individual control
The precision cross winder is designed for bobbins weighing up to 15 kilograms and a diameter of 320 millimetres. The maximum rewinding speed is 600 meters per minute. DS Alfa is often combined with 20 or even more systems. They are controlled centrally via a terminal that customises parameters for each machine.

The DS 35 precision cross winder is an all-rounder that can serve nearly any application in the winding area. It is used for winding, rewinding and doubling-folding synthetic and natural fibre yarns. Its strengths stand out in particular in the glass sector: The robust guidance unit withstands heavy stress from penetrating glass fibres.
The machine for continuous operation is configured individually based on customer requirements. Dietze+Schell has developed a modular system for efficient and cost-saving adaptation. Cylindrical or conical bobbins are produced depending on the design.
The DS 35 is often integrated into production lines. The number of winding positions can be set as required. The compact design benefits plant operators where space is scarce.
