HVIS-TES® - High Visibility Knitted Fabrics

HVIS-TES® - High Visibility Knitted Fabrics

Beschreibung

HVis-Tes® Knitted Fabrics are considered as the state-of-the-art of High Visibility Knitted Fabrics for garments designed for road yards Workers, Airport employees and for Rescue Operators exposed to risks due to their presence on the road.

Argar Technology specifically studied the application of Double Knitting technology for the project of High Visibility HVis-Tes® Knitted Fabrics.

The idea was to manufacture new Knitted Fabrics targeted to substitute the 100% Polyester ones regularly used to achieve the chromatic specification fixed by EN ISO 20471.
The external face of HVis-Tes® double knitted fabrics is 100%Polyester, while the internal face is 100% pure Cotton.

In this peculiar interlacing the extraordinary features of durability and endurance of a Polyester fabric join the Comfort that only a Cotton fabric is able to provide in touch with the skin.

They are projected to satisfy the needs of durability in hard wearing and washing conditions which are prohibitive for a garment in pure Cotton, without compromising the comfort of the garment itself, showing a top level performance when garments are washed and processed by Commercial Laundries.

Protection is also generated by the extraordinary comfort when the garment is worn by Workers. A comfortable garment is always worn, never taken off.

Since these garments are mainly used by Workers in road yards, where the temperature is often particularly hot, the worn garment is guarantee of Protection and Security. For this purpose Argar have developed a high performance UV-protection finishing.

HVis-Tes® High Visibility Knitted fabrics, in Jersey, Piquet, Sweat, Rib, Rib Fabric for Polo Collars and Polo Sleeve Lists, either in Fluo Yellow or Fluo Orange colors, have passed the internal test applied to check chromaticity performance maintenance after 50 washing cycles at 40 degrees.

The features of HVis-Tes® Knitted Fabrics fully comply with the specifications of EN ISO 20471 and Oeko-Tex ® Standard 100 Class II Certifications rules.

Argar Technology guarantees that all HVis-Tes® Knitted Fabrics and Accessories are manufactured and finished in Italy.

SHIELD-TES® - Antistatic Knitted Fabrics

SHIELD-TES® Antistatic Knitted Fabrics is perfect for Protective Garments used in hazardous environment with potential risk of explosion, for instance, in oil extraction and refinery, in storing, transport and retail distribution of fuel, in hospitals, in electronic components manufacturing for the protection of products against electrostatic currents, in industries of explosive substances.

The first range of Protective Knitted Fabrics projected by Argar Technology has many utilization purposes, in its full variety of Jersey, Piquet and Sweat items manufactured with Double Knitting Technology.

Traditional Single Knitted Fabrics are composed by Cotton and Conductive Fibers, Polyester Cotton and Conductive Fibers, Polyester and Conductive Fibers.

Fabrics manufactured with Double Knitting technology have external face in Polyester 100% and the internal face in Cotton 100% or Cotton and Conductive Fibers.

In this peculiar interlacing the extraordinary features of durability and endurance of a Polyester fabric are joined to Comfort that only a cotton fabric is able to supply in touch with skin.

They are projected to satisfy the needs of durability in hard wearing and washing conditions which are prohibitive for a garment in pure Cotton, without compromising the comfort of the garment itself, showing a top level performance when garments are washed and processed by Commercial Laundries.

The utilization of this fabrics has an essential aesthetic advantage too, given by the high color fastness of Polyester dyeing process applied on the external visible face of the fabrics.

For instance, the colors of Fuel Pumps Operators’ uniforms maintain their original colors for long time.
The Antistatic function is guaranteed by intrinsic properties of fabrics, assuring, in this way, the best performance and durability.

The features of ShieldTes® Antistatic single and double Knitted Fabrics fully comply with the specifications of EN 1149 and Oeko-Tex ® Standard 100 Class II Certifications rules.
Argar Technology guarantees that ShieldTes® Knitted Fabrics and Accessories are manufactured and finished in Italy.

YelcoDry

Argar S.r.l. produces new knitted fabrics containing polypropylene, increasing the range of its articles: YelcoDry.

The new knitted fabrics are projected to satisfy and improve the comfort of final garments, property more and more required for work wear, especially if worn for long time or in uncomfortable environmental conditions.

In order to have the chance to customize the colour of the cotton outer layer and to keep the desired comfort performance in contact with the skin, we have decided to use polypropylene only for the inner layer.

The new YelcoDry range of Knitted Fabrics articles with polypropylene:

  • Art. PP170: 89% cotton, 11% polypropylene double knitted piquet, with cotton outer layer and polypropylene inner layer, mass per unit area 170 g/m2
  • Art. PP8272: 87% cotton, 11% polypropylene, 2% conductive fibres double knitted piquet, with cotton and conductive fibres outer layer and polypropylene inner layer, mass per unit area 170 g/m2
  • Art.PP210: 85% cotton, 15% polypropylene double knitted piquet, with cotton outer layer and polypropylene inner layer, mass per unit area 210 g/m2
  • Art. PP8270: 83% cotton, 15% polypropylene, 2% conductive fibres double knitted piquet, with cotton/conductive fibres outer layer and polypropylene inner layer, mass per unit area 210 g/m2

Characteristics of the new YelcoDry line:

Excellent comfort properties:

Sensorial: in touch with the skin the fabric presents low friction and soft fuzz which prevent skin irritation, excellent bending/flexibility and fast water absorption

Thermo-physiological: good breathability and outstanding sweat management, the sweat doesn’t remain in contact with the skin but it is quickly transferred to the outer layer

Intrinsically antibacterial: it prevents unpleasant odours

Suitable to be used both in summer and in winter as underwear

Compared to the Argar standard antistatic 97% cotton, 3% conductive fibres knitted fabric piquet, mass per unit area 210 g/m2:

Sweat management properties improved even by 130%

Sensorial properties improved even by 30%

Polypropylene fibre is chemically inert both to acids and inorganic bases and also to oxidising and reducing agents used in production processes.

Thanks to its intrinsically antibacterial property, the fibre is not affected by microorganisms and insects.

Polypropylene is not harmful to the health of users, it produces neither allergies nor dermatitis.

Thanks to a thermal conductivity lower than that of the other fibres, polypropylene guarantees an excellent thermal insulation too.

Polypropylene has a water absorption close to zero.

The resistance and the elongation of a PP yarn are comparable to those of polyester and polyamide and these properties remain the same also in case of wet material.
