PyroTex Industries GmbH is the manufacturer of the flame and heat resistant fiber PyroTex® classic and the hygiene protection fiber PyroTex® medic.

The business units of PyroTex Industries GmbH (flame and heat / medical and hygiene) will present the latest products and developments during the upcoming Techtextil in Frankfurt.

PyroTex® classic has a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 43% and can withstand a continuous working temperature of 250°C (480°F). It is acid, alkali, UV and hydrolysis resistant. It is non-thermoplastic, meaning it will not melt or drip.
None of the commonly used FR chemicals such as antimony, halogens or phosphorus are used, so the fiber does not emit any toxic gases.

Our fiber PyroTex® medic permanently incapacitates viruses, bacteria and fungi without the need for additional finishing and chemicals.

For the first time, the effectiveness of specialty fibers is no longer limited by the number of washes, but is permanent!

In addition, PyroTex® is certified according to the strict Oeko-Tex Standard 100 with class I and can be used in nonwovens as well as in spun yarns. Available in 2.0/2.8/3.8dtex (1.9/2.5/3.5den) and cut lengths between 10-120mm.

PyroTex® is the first fiber to combine all of these properties, opening up new product development opportunities for the industry.

Today, PyroTex® offers safety in aircrafts as a fire blocker, comfort and protection in PPE, temperature resistance for hot gas filters and many other applications in the hygiene sector, just to name a few of the ever-expanding product range with PyroTex®.
