TOYOFLON™ and TEFLON® are Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibers, with the highest level of heat and chemical-resistant properties of all known synthetic fibers. Both fibers provide unique properties such as low coefficient of frictional, high abrasion resistance, and excellent release.
TORAY GROUP can provide PTFE fibers with continuous high quality based on our matrix spinning technology. The fibers are available in variety of product forms such as multifilament yarns, staple and flock for use in numerous applications. TOYOFLON® and TEFLON® are well known for their use in both hot gas and liquid filtration where high-temperature & aggressive chemical condtions exist.
Both Fiber's low coefficient of friction and abrasion resistance make them excellent candidates for friction management applications such as self luricating composite bearings.
