With the self-optimizing speed adjustment, our new weighing feeder does not require any action from the operator, thus leading to higher production and better weighing control.

The sorting of textile waste is one of the most important pillars to optimize the quality of recycled fibers. It is a bottleneck and an essential element within the recycling value chain. The automation of this process adds clear value to the entire process.

Innovative and automated sorting process by ANDRITZ and its partners allows to separate clothes, depending on the nature of fibers and/or colors. During this process, hard elements will be removed in order to obtain a material ready for mechanical recycling by tearing or chemical processing. ANDRITZ offers a wide range of tearing machines, which are suitable for many applications, for both the spinning and nonwoven markets.

ANDRITZ offers several airlay lines suited to customer needs.

The ANDRITZ airlay flexiloft line has been designed to form mats from all types of fibers from short recycled fibers to long, coarse natural, or special inorganic fibers and blends with non-fiber particles
such as plastic, foam, wood chips, or feathers.

The airlay flexiloft line with its Density Control Measurement (DCM) allows the most accurate mat
weight and can range from 300 to 6,000 gsm, or up to 12,000 gsm with the “flexiloft+” option. The flexiloft technology allows a higher thickness, increases resiliency, and improves the acoustic and thermal properties of the felt. It also avoids segregation of components across the thickness of the mat and provides a perfect homogeneity between the fiber particles.

The ANDRITZ airlay resinfelt line is an innovative process for the production of semicured resinated felts: The airlay resinfelt line is designed for the automotive and/or the appliance industries. It can deliver weights ranging from 200 to 2,000 gsm.

The airlay resinfelt line retains the advantages of true air forming technology and uses a close recycle loop with resin powders, thus allowing a dust-free environment. The resinfelt is especially designed to process resins such as phenolic or epoxy mixed into the mat with an excellent resin distribution. It is easy to clean, requires little maintenance, and has a low energy consumption.
