Alte Oper
The best-known building from Frankfurt’s historical past, the neo-Renaissance opera house with which architect Richard Lucae wanted to put Paris and Dresden in the shade.
Built from 1873 – 80, the Alte Oper was rebuilt after being bombed during the Second World War and reopened in 1981.

The English Theatre Frankfurt
celebrates its 30th anniversary in the season 2009 / 2010. With seating for 300 people, it is the biggest English-language theatre on the European continent and produces at least five different plays or musicals per season.
